Turning Point
During my high school years I was athletic with no direction. I went to work right out of high school. A turning point in my life was my decision to go back to school. I was working for UPS for four years. I was working my way up the ladder with seniority. I had worked every belt inside the hub. From loading, unloading, to small sort. I was unloading a 18 wheel trailer and a package from on top of the wall feel and hit me in the back. I had two surgical procedures on my L4, L5, and my S1 discs in my spinal cord. I went to rehabilitation, and therapy. It was then I was inspired to work with others and train them through rehabilitation. I had returned to work but had complications so I had to resign and decided to go back to school.
During the years I worked at UPS, my grandmother had a stroke, and I witness someone working with her rehabilitating her back to health. My grandfather retired, and still went out and worked.
